Ipswich Chamber Music Society | Ipswich concerts

Welcome to the website of Ipswich Chamber Music Society (ICMS), one of the oldest organisations of its kind in the UK. We have been inviting leading instrumentalists and ensembles to Ipswich for 100 years, and are delighted to present another season of wonderful music performed by some of today’s finest musicians.

All our concerts are held on Saturday evenings in Great School (the main hall) at Ipswich School. With its excellent acoustics, raked seating and clear sightlines, Great School is an ideal venue for chamber music. Refreshments are available during the interval at each concert, and audience members are welcome to park for free in the school grounds.

We encourage people to join the Society by buying season tickets, which offer tremendous value for money. We also have a Friends scheme for those who wish to support ICMS financially, and we are always very pleased to hear from potential sponsors of individual concerts. Sponsorship plays an increasingly important part in helping us to keep ticket prices as low as possible while continuing to engage performers of the highest quality.
