How many
concerts are there each season ? |
|
There are 4
concerts each season, usually in October, November, January and February.
|
|
Where can I buy
tickets ? |
|
You can buy a
season ticket by sending a cheque to the Treasurer - see the Contacts page.
Or you can buy a
season ticket or individual ticket at the door, prior to each concert.
|
|
Where are the
concerts ? |
|
Concerts are held
in the centre of Ipswich at the Ipswich School, Ivry Street entrance,
IP1 3QW. There is ample free parking space.
|
|
What type of
music will I hear ? |

The concerts
provide a wide range of chamber music played by national and
international performers with a combination of instruments, though
string quartets and piano trios are the most favoured.
|
Who are
the performers ?
All performers are
international professionals of the highest standard. Many are well-known
names in chamber music, but the Society also has an enviable
reputation for inviting young new-comers who go on to become big
international names.
What time are the concerts?
Concerts are on Saturday evenings and start at 7:30pm. They generally finish
about 9:30 pm depending on the programme.
Is there an
interval ?
Yes. There is an
interval in each concert which is relaxed and free for chatting and
meeting friends. Hot and cold refreshments are served adjacent to the
concert hall.
